New Chapter: From the Classroom to Real Estate

After more than 30 years in education, stepping into retirement last June felt both meaningful and a little surreal.
Teaching business education, work experience, and culinary arts, and working alongside students, families, and colleagues throughout Ventura County has been one of the greatest honors of my life. Education shaped who I am and, in many ways, prepared me for the path I’m on today.
What many people don’t know is that real estate has always been part of my story.
For over 20 years, I’ve held my real estate license, not as a primary career, but as a personal passion. I’ve always loved real estate, primarily buying and selling my own homes while encouraging others to do the same. At one point, I even considered becoming a loan officer to help people navigate financing in the evenings. But like many seasons in life, priorities shifted. Raising my children, supporting my family, and fully committing to my career in education and leadership took center stage.
Even so, real estate was never far from my mind, t remained a steady interest and a meaningful way I connected with others.
Now, with the gift of time that retirement brings, I’m able to return to this passion with intention and energy.
This transition doesn’t feel like starting over. It feels like a natural continuation of the work I’ve always loved, helping people navigate important life decisions.
Throughout my years in education, I guided students through transitions: choosing career paths, building confidence, and planning their futures. Real estate is much the same. Whether it’s buying a first home, helping parents downsize, supporting families through change, or planning long-term investments, these are deeply personal milestones.
I also have a special focus on supporting senior transitions, helping individuals and families thoughtfully navigate downsizing, relocation, and the emotional and logistical decisions that come with this stage of life. I often think about how I would support my own mom, or even myself one day, and understand how confusing and difficult these decisions can be.
My goal is to bring the same patience, communication, and care I practiced in the classroom into every real estate experience.
Ventura County has been my home for more than three decades, and I’ve had the privilege of watching generations grow up here. I understand how meaningful it is to find not just a house, but the right neighborhood, the right timing, and the right fit for your lifestyle. To me, real estate is about improving lives, creating stability, opportunity, and new beginnings.
I also know that most people already have a real estate connection, and I truly respect the importance of those relationships. At the same time, if you ever come across someone who could benefit from a thoughtful, patient, education-first approach, I would be grateful to be considered.
- A young adult thinking about their first home
- Parents considering downsizing
- A family exploring their next move or wanting to better understand their options
- Someone interested in renovating, investing, or creating a shared living space
- A senior or family navigating a transition and needing guidance they can trust
Even if you’re not ready to buy or sell, I’m always happy to have a conversation, answer questions, or help you think through possibilities—for yourself or someone you care about.
This chapter is about continuing what I’ve always valued most: supporting people as they move forward in life.
I’m grateful to remain connected to the community that has given me so much, and I look forward to helping others create their next beginning here in Ventura County.
If you’d like to connect, learn more about the market, or refer someone who might need guidance, I’d love to hear from you.
Let’s start the conversation.
